The Digital Content Specialist will play a key role in the development and delivery of the Digital Content Strategy as part of the Digital Marketing Strategy. With direction and support from the Head of Digital Content, the role holder will develop user focused, high quality, and relevant, multi-media content for use across all our digital marketing platforms (web, social media, mobile applications etc.). The objective will be to influence and shape the decisions of key audiences.

The role holder will build and nurture highly productive relationships with colleagues across the University, as well as partner organisations. Specifically, the Digital Content Specialist will work closely with colleagues in the wider Digital Marketing Team and Communications Team, to develop and repurpose content.

Fundamentally, the Digital Content Specialist will understand the absolute importance of digital content, particularly in driving engagement and interest from our core market – prospective students. The role holder must constantly review user trends and look to create ever more innovative, exciting and relevant – youth focused – content that will be widely viewed and shared.

The Digital Content Specialist will work closely with colleagues in the Digital team, specifically the other role holders, the Head of Digital Content, the Social Media Specialist and the User Researcher to use insight and data to drive the development of new digital content. Using web analytics to monitor performance, the role holder will make recommendations for improvements.
