Do you have a track record in scientific instrument and related software development? Do you want to be part of the NCAS-AMF team helping to facilitate and support the UK atmospheric research community through the provision of strategically located observatories, laboratories, and cutting edge instrumentation?

As an Instrument Scientist/Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance and development of NCAS-AMF atmospheric observing systems which are housed at the University of Leeds, including the Doppler Aerosol Lidar. You will also provide support for the Mobile X-Band Radar and Mobile Cloud Radar based at Chilbolton, and the Mobile Radar Wind Profiler and Ozone Lidar based at the University of Manchester. In addition, you will participate in the delivery of the NCAS Atmospheric Measurement School.

You will be based within the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds, and as part of NCAS you will be joining a vibrant and enthusiastic community located in many UK universities including Manchester, Leeds, York, Cambridge, Reading and UEA. The role will require working in the field as well as extensive travel both nationally and internationally, with extended periods spent overseas.
