We are looking for a motivated, experienced person to join our Technical team based in the Boots Science Building on University Park.
This post is to provide technical support to around 30 staff and students in the cell culture and immune modulation laboratories within the Boots Science building. The post ensures that laboratory users work in compliance safely and in line with Good Laboratory Practice. The role includes induction and training of new users, equipment maintenance, consumables stock control, waste disposal and budget management.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 A-levels grades A-E or equivalent. Experience of maintenance and calibration of equipment and recent, substantive experience in a similar technical role is essential.
This is a fixed-term, maternity cover post for a period of 14 months. Hours of work are 30 per week.
This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2, therefore we can only accept applications from candidates who already have the right to work in UK.
