Assistant Health and Safety Advisor (078917)

The Health and Safety team are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Health and Safety Advisor to join them to promote good practices and compliance in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey.

This exciting opportunity would suit someone who has a keen interest in health and safety, enthusiasm to learn new skills or maybe thinking of a career change.

Ideally the successful candidate would have a minimum of least one A level (or equivalent) in science and have experience of health and safety in a scientific environment or currently in a health and safety role. It is essential that the successful candidate has strong communication and organisational skills, excellent observation skills with experience of maintaining accurate documentation and be able to pay strict attention to details.

As the successful candidate you will support the Health and Safety Manager in the management of health and safety across the Faculty, providing induction and other relevant health and safety training, undertaking safety inspections, investigating incidents and assisting to answer day to day general queries in relation to health and safety.
