The Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion will lead a small team to develop and communicate a compelling Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy for the University With experience of working with relevant local and national networks, you will be an excellent communicator who is able to work collaboratively, build effective relationships and influence the achievement of strategic priorities.You will need an awareness of current political and social issues and how to handle challenges and barriers to minimise discrimination, exclusion and bad practice. You will have experience of implementing equality, diversity and inclusion within an organisation of comparable size and up to date knowledge of legislation on equality and diversity and its implementation in the HE context. You should have evidence of the successful implementation of equalities charter marks and frameworks coupled with project management of large scale projects and change initiatives. An awareness of current political and social issues and how to handle challenges and barriers to minimise discrimination, exclusion and bad practice is also an advantage.
