Security Officer (899617TD-R)

The University of Southampton has an in-house security service providing 24-hour cover across several different sites and is looking for additional security officers. The positions are available at a salary of £25,398 (based on a 44.75 hour week and including a shift allowance supplement.). 

You will work on a rotating shift (including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays) averaging 44.75 hours per week.  Although based at the Highfield Campus your duties will take you to all of our other sites patrolling on 12.5 hour shifts so you can expect a varied and interesting work pattern.

You must have a Security Industry Authority Licence to Door Supervisor Level, a full, manual car Driving Licence. A Security Industry Authority public space surveillance CCTV operative  would be advantageous. You should also have a good customer focused work record. Any appointment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check at the enhanced level.
