Reporting to the Director of Research and Innovation this role is to support in the development and implementation of the department’s strategic plans and policies, and to provide leadership and direction to the University’s wider research and innovation activities.

In addition to responsibilities across the Research and Innovation portfolio, the role holder will also provide critical support to the delivery of the University’s Research and Impact Strategy by leading the University’s engagement with a full range of external partners across the breadth and depth of the University’s research and innovation portfolio

An experienced strategic leader with a track record of having established strong and supportive relationships with key business stakeholders to embed industry research and innovation partnerships within the University.   An accomplished leader of sizable team, you will bring energy, commitment and an infectious appetite for continuous improvement along with the ability to establish motivated, high performance teams and partnerships.
