External Cleaner - Grounds (NHE365517)

Based at either University Park or Jubilee Campus this full-time, permanent role will carry out a wide range of external cleaning tasks including picking up/collecting litter, emptying bins and sweeping paths and roads using ride on or pedestrian controlled machinery.  The role holder will also be required to safely dispose of waste products in accordance with University guidelines and will complete relevant documentation including job tickets and log sheets when completing tasks.

Candidates should have experience of working within a similar role and have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles and powered machinery.  Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive vehicles involved in grounds maintenance operations and transport materials between University sites candidates must hold a full current driving license unless disability precludes this. The role holder will also be expected to work in adverse weather conditions (extremes of hot or cold) as required.

Hours of work are 36.25 per week to be worked mainly Monday to Friday with flexibility to work occasional weekends as required. Job share arrangements may be considered for this post.
