Description :

A highly specialised researcher is required to take up a 6-month post, developing robust communications systems for the control of rail based transport.

The project is run in conjunction with an Industrial Partner the George Green Institute for Electromagnetics Research at the University of Nottingham.

The post requires excellent and specific expertise in the area of low power wireless communications systems and protocols, embedded software development and microcontrollers.

Candidates will hold a PhD degree or equivalent (or close to completion) electrical/electronic engineering.

The person appointed will be highly motivated, reliable and able to work both independently and able to communicate effectively with our Industrial Partners both verbally and in the writing of regular reports. It is expected that the Researcher will contribute to the production of high calibre publications in high-profile journals and conferences. 

This full time post will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 6 months. The post is open to part time 18.12h per week and job share.
