The IT Supporters team is a key team within the User Services section of Computing Services at the University of Bath. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled IT professional with an extensive background in IT support and service delivery to join this team in a specialist position focussing on the support of mobile devices and Apple computers.  You will make a significant contribution to the on-going development of an exceptional IT service and provide solutions within a changing business and technical environment.

The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, able to work alone or in a team and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Considerable experience in a customer services or IT Support role would be a distinct advantage. The Department is introducing Service Management principles in line with ITIL best practice and experience of this and the use of ITSM systems would also be advantageous.

The University of Bath has an extensive and internationally recognised research portfolio, which frequently requires the innovative application of IT. It is expected that the successful candidate would possess a deep understanding of hardware, software, and underlying operating system concepts, and would be looking to develop and hone their skills in all facets of IT support, in order to support the diverse research capability, and supporting business needs of our Faculties and Professional Services teams. In order to gain a deep understanding of the customer needs, this post is based within a team supporting one of our Academic Faculties, however it has a broader remit, and you will be expected to work alongside all of our customer facing teams.
