This post is full time, fixed term for three years and has been made available through the release of the University of Hull’s Yorkshire Cancer Research (YCR) endowment fund. It is part of YCR’s large investment in applied health research in cancer, “Reducing Inequalities in Cancer Outcomes in Yorkshire: Realising our potential for innovation in Diagnosis, Patient Management, Survivorship and Palliative Care Research”. The post-holder will work with other researchers in the patient management and survivorship and palliative care workstreams to develop and testa multi-disciplinary intervention to optimise physical function and nutritional status in older people with cancer looking at rehabilitation prior to, during and cancer therapy, including for those with cancer that persists or relapses following treatment.

The post holder will have expertise in a discipline relevant to rehabilitation of people with cancer, or other serious illnesses e.g. palliative care.  He/she will demonstrate a commitment to the pursuit of excellence in research, and have completed a PhD in a relevant subject.
