Applications are invited for the above post based in the Plant Systems Biology Centre (CPIB) at the Sutton Bonington Campus.

The successful candidate will provide critical input into the experimental research program, working closely with CPIB’s mathematicians and computer scientists.The post holder will be responsible for using imaging techniques to study plant hormone responses and enhance the Centre’s expertise in the field of plant systems biology.The post holder will also support the training, teaching and outreach activities of the Centre.

Candidates must have a PhD, or be close to completion of PhD, in a Plant related area, research experience working with model plant Aribidopsis thaliana and lateral root development and experience of using light sheet microscopy and time lapse imaging.Excellent research skills with evidence of effective research delivery within a multidisciplinary environment will be essential, along with excellent oral and written communication skills.

The post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31st December 2018. Hours of work are full time.
