  The University of Bath’s School of Management is ranked among the top UK business schools, with a renowned reputation for business education and international research.    We wish to appoint a Receptionist to work as part of the School’s MSc team. The duties of this busy and varied role will include: acting as first point of contact for all forms of enquiry to the MSc Office from both potential and current MSc students, handling mail, processing application materials, maintenance of records and providing administration support to the MSc Programmes Manager.   The role will require you to be a team-player but also be able to work independently. You will have a friendly, professional approach at all times and be committed to customer care.  You will have experience of working in a customer facing role with a good level of general education, excellent IT skills, and possessing excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.   The post holder will need to be able to communicate persuasively and tactfully with colleagues and students. Initiative, flexibility, a customer focused approach, the ability to learn quickly and to form effective working relationships in the School and the University as a whole, are also key pre-requisites of the post. Familiarity with the higher education sector or an empathy with the general character and mission of a university management school is desirable.   This post is part-time (0.4 fte/14.6 hours per week, working on Monday and Tuesday) and is being offered on a fixed-term basis until October 2018 to cover a secondment.   Informal enquiries about the post may be made to Navdeep Uppal, Head of MSc Operations (01225 383757), however please ensure that you submit your application through the University of Bath website.
