Description :

We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to curate and manage a number of cultural venues in the heart of the vibrant city of Brighton.  We have a number of key public galleries, curated spaces and a well known theatre, which are an important interface between the University and the public as they provide opportunities to contribute to the cultural life of the city and region. This role will develop and deliver a cultural programme that engages wide audiences and increases access to the University for external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the development and delivery of a learning programme to supplement the gallery programme.

This is full-time role, initially fixed-term for one year, in which you will – under the leadership of the Director of Museums, Galleries and Theatre, and in liaison with the Pro-Vice Chancellor Research and Enterprise – support a review of a number of areas including the gallery programme, an audience development strategy, the facilities and staffing structures and funding.

For more information about the role and the qualities we are looking for can be found in the job description.  If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Alan Boldon, Director of Museums, Galleries and Theatre at a.boldon@brighton.ac.uk.  Interviews will be held on Wednesday 7 February 2018.
