Join our talented and committed team of Outreach professionals in the Student Recruitment and Outreach division, working with schools and colleges across Sussex. Based at our Hastings campus, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing the delivery of recruitment and outreach activity and projects across our Compact Plus programme. You will be required to liaise closely with colleagues in our partner schools and colleges, other university departments and external agencies.

You will possess knowledge of UK education and widening participation issues particularly in relation to higher education; experience of working with secondary school pupils and college students in an educational environment as well as experience of organising events.  The ability to present to a range of different audiences is also essential.

Some evening and weekend working is required.  The role will require regular travel between university sites and to schools and colleges across Sussex, often carrying resources for events.  Therefore, a current driving licence will be essential.

The post is temporary whilst the post holder covers a period of maternity leave starting in February 2018.  

Days of work are ideally Wednesday to Friday but there is some flexibility and this can be discussed at interview.

The successful candidates will be asked to apply for an appropriate disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Interviews are likely to take place on 8th February 2018.
