An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Data Manager to join the Hull Health Trials Unit (HHTU) during a period of expansion at the University of Hull. HHTU forms part of a major investment by the University in a Health Campus and the establishment  of an  Institute  for Clinical and Applied  Health Research  (ICAHR).

HHTU has the ambition to support high quality, high impact health research, leading on the design, conduct and analysis of national multi-centre research. The establishment of HHTU will consolidate existing expertise, and accompanied with new investment in leadership, management and infrastructure  will develop a  unit with  a  clear pathway to  becoming a  UK Clinical Research Collaboration  (UKCRC) Registered  Clinical  Trial Unit.

Reporting to the HHTU Director and Information Systems Manager, you will lead the data management team and be responsible for the ongoing design, management and maintenance of database systems for recording clinical trial data.  You will develop clinical trial databases, Case Report Forms (CRFs), Data Management Plans (DMPs) and implement data validation and quality control procedures for individual trials in accordance with current regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual, who will be able to work flexibly and contribute to the further development of HHTU, leading on data management in the unit. You will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including investigators, statisticians and trial managers.
