The School of Health and Social Work (SHSW), in the Faculty of Health Sciences is inviting applications for a Part-time 12 month post as a research assistant in the newly formed research cluster, Maternal and Reproductive Health. The post is for 1 year fixed term and equates to 0.2 WTE. The successful applicant will be based in the newly formed School of Health and Social Work.The specific responsibilities of this post include the support and development of a programme of research and evaluation which centres on understanding women’s preferences for opting into midwifery-led care. The post holder responsibilities will include reviewing the relevant literature, writing NHS Research Ethics application, questionnaire development, and focus group interviewing. Duties also include both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Whilst qualitative research experience is predominately required, quantitative experience is not essential. Dissemination and a willingness to publishing of findings would be an advantage. 

The post is grant funded by East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group and the successful candidate will also be accountable to the funding body advisory panel. It is required that the post holder can commence employment with immediate effect. This post requires a criminal records check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
