Description :

The University Careers, Entrepreneurship and Study Abroad Service (hereafter referred to as the Careers Service) plays a lead role in developing confident, employable graduates, who are highly regarded by graduate recruiters, and who, in addition to a fulfilling academic programme, have had the opportunity to acquire the full range of Graduate Attributes. The Careers Service has always supported the University’s ambition to attract the best students, wherever they are from and whatever their background, and to help all students understand the full range of course and career options available to them. This role will inspire and support targeted young people (from Y9-13) in schools and colleges to achieve their potential by making informed choices about the benefits of choosing to continue into Higher Education. The post will connect to other staff involved in delivering the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) which aims to support the most disadvantaged young people in England to progress into Higher Education.

If you are an experienced guidance professional and/or involved in supporting the progression of young people from a range of different backgrounds into HE, and you are able to effectively market the benefits of a university education to disadvantaged groups, we will be pleased to hear from you.
