Guided by its refreshed Strategic Plan 2016-20, the University is mid-way through a period of transition. These changes will position the University to compete in a rapidly evolving higher education sector, including higher expectations from students and increased levels of financial risk. At the same time the University is looking to build on from the legacy of Hull being the UK City of Culture in 2017.  

The Management Accountant will assist the Senior Management Accountant, as directed, to support the delivery of the Finance Business Plan for the University.

The post is for a period of six months, with the post holder providing support to the service areas covered by the role, encouraging value for money (economy, efficiency and effectiveness) in all aspects of financial work including the monitoring of the service area monthly management accounts. The post holder will also be required to support the Senior Management Accountant with course costing and the completion of the University’s Annual TRAC return.  

The Management Accountant will also support with the budgeting and forecasting processes for service areas, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial information.

A relevant financial qualification and/or experience and will be working towards a CCAB or ACMA qualification.
