About the Role:
We are currently seeking a temporary Insurance Manager to support the University of Hull's administrative functions in Procurement - Finance Directorate. The Procurement Service is responsible for managing the University's insurance function, in order to ensure that adequate cover is provided and claims are dealt with appropriately.

Responsibilities as Temporary Insurance Manager:
- Providing an efficient and effective insurance and risk management service to the University.
- Vetting the liability or indemnity clauses of contracts and agreements on behalf of departments.
- Liaising with insurance brokers on risk management issues.
- Benchmarking university insurance cost against other organisations.
- Ensuring insurance claims are processed effectively and efficiently.
- Collating information on income streams in a manner that will provide the greatest benefit when negotiating insurance contracts.
- Ensuring catalogues are uploaded onto the University's eProcurement system and are up-to-date.
- Support the Category Manager in the management of strategic University-wide contracts.
- Providing high levels of customer care, communication and feedback.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation.

Working Hours/Hourly Rate:
- 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexibility is available on the working pattern).
- £20.78 per hour (including holiday pay at 17.65%).
- Immediate start with an anticipated end date of Friday 9th March 2018.
