The School of Engineering and Computer Science currently has over 1,800 students, including over 230 international students and 90 students undertaking post-graduate qualifications.  Our strategic ambition is to grow significantly the scale and scope of our offer, and by developing a combined and integrated strategy in support of these two academic fields, there is the opportunity for really innovative and aspirational impact. In response to this ambition, this newly combined school requires an inspirational and visionary leader to drive this initiative. Reporting to Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering the new Head will substantially grow the School with regard the scale of its academic activities, research and enterprise output, impact and revenue, industry engagement and student numbers. 

With a keen focus on performance and pursuing excellence in all that we do, we are looking for a strong and ambitious leader to help drive our growth. This is a high profile leadership appointment that requires both academic credibility and the ability to provide strong leadership and vision in promoting excellence in learning and teaching as well as research and enterprise, creating an environment in which these can flourish.
