We require an experienced BMS Controls Engineer to manage and maintain the University of Nottingham's Building Management Systems. You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the BMS systems which control the environment within all of the University’s major buildings, whilst managing a smooth transition to the new Schneider StuxureWare system.

Situated within the Sustainability Team, you will work closely with other staff in the Estate Office and external contractors, providing them with specialist technical advice and support on BMS and controls issues. Input to the University’s significant capital programme will be required, and you will also be expected to identify and manage energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects.

Applicants should be qualified to degree level, ideally in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or have substantial relevant experience of working with BMS systems, have a thorough knowledge of building mechanical services infrastructure and have experience of identifying and managing BMS and energy reduction projects. The ability to manage staff and contractors and a proven ability to prepare technical reports is also essential for this role. 

Hours of work are 36.25 per week worked mainly Monday to Friday, however flexibility will be required. Applications for job share will also be accepted. This is a permanent post.
