Description :

The University of Southampton is looking for a highly-skilled communications professional to support the ambitious development plans outlined in its new 10-Year Plan. The University will be investing in the region of £600 million over the coming decade, with a series of high-profile new buildings planned across the University’s campuses. 

Reporting to the Public Affairs Officer, you will be responsible for a seamless approach to the development and implementation of communications strategies and operational plans.

You will have excellent communications, organisational and interpersonal skills, together with a proven track record of implementing successful communications strategies in a complex organisation. You will excel at building strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and confidently handle challenging situations.

You will be a highly organised team player, prepared to work across different work locations, and have experience of managing multiple complex projects and public engagement activities. Experience of large-scale planning applications in the UK would be advantageous.
