We are recruiting for two permanent Customer Services Advisor roles in our Residential Services department, within both the Occupancy and Communication Management and Facilities teams.  

You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we continue to develop our portfolio of over 6,700 rooms, instigating a new refurbishment plan, along with continued development of our halls offering to enhance the student experience. You will be part of a team who support the smooth running of our Halls of Residence providing an excellent customer service to our students and other stakeholders.

The main responsibilities of the Occupancy and Communication Management team include:

The allocation and occupancy of the 6,700 rooms within the University accommodation estate using our accommodation software packageProviding advice and guidance to current and prospective residents regarding their accommodation options and contracts, primarily via emailWorking closely with teams of colleagues responsible for the operation and running of the various accommodation sites and associated services

The main responsibilities for the Facilities role include:                                    

Assisting the Residential Service Supervisor/Residential Services Management team in the day-to-day running of a hall complex and/or a functional work stream such as customer service provisionManaging the workload of the General Assistant teams to ensure the smooth operational running of our serviceLiaising with colleagues in the Student Life Team who collectively provide a 24/7 support to students in HallsProject work as delegated by the Residential Service Supervisor/Residential Services Management team

The successful candidate will quickly pick up new software packages, and be competent in the use of systems and spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills will be essential, as well as the ability to liaise with a variety of teams within the University in a professional manner. 

Self-motivation and the ability to manage small numbers of people and one’s own workload are desirable qualities.

The position offers a 36 hour/week contract and is complimented by a range of other employment benefits.
