This is an opportunity to be part of a world class team delivering an exciting new three year programme supporting UK companies to accelerate their growth through innovation, investment and partnership delivering economic impact into the UK economy.    This three year contract will be based at the University of Bath’s Innovation Centre with travel across Southern England to delivery an extensive programme of events, workshops and seminars. Working as part of a dynamic team of events staff along with sector managers and programme and innovation directors as well as a wider team at each of the individual Universities within the SETsquared Partnership.  A self-starter with energy, genuine enthusiasm for events with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality work and attention to detail. With a wide stakeholder group and geography, this is a complex and challenging but stimulating and rewarding environment to work within. A proven track record of event delivery is essential and if this was within a technology environment this would be desirable.     SETsquared is the long standing enterprise partnership between the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey. Its incubator programme has been recognised as the Number 1 University Business Incubator in the world (UBI Index, 2016). Whether it’s an entrepreneur with an idea or a very early stage, high-tech start-up company – the mission is to help turn an innovative spark into a thriving, commercial business. Over the last decade it has helped over 1,500 high-tech start-ups to develop and raise more than a £1.25bn of investment. Independent research carried out by Warwick Economics estimates the economic impact of SETsquared member companies to be £3.8bn over this period, with the creation of 9,000 jobs and that these companies will go on to deliver a further £8.6bn of impact to the UK economy in the decade ahead.    This role will help develop SETsquared’s offering beyond start-ups to scale-ups across Southern England and is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of this new stage in the Partnership’s growth.   This is a fixed-term role until March 2021.   Interviews will be held the week begining 5th of March.
