In this challenging post, you will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team of technical staff involved in preparing materials and equipment for laboratory classes and student projects, as well as conducting demonstration of techniques to staff, students and researchers.
You will also assist in the day to day maintenance of the laboratories and associated equipment which includes fault reporting, stock control, requisition of purchases and duties such as Portable Appliance Testing. Training will be provided where necessary.
You will need a minimum of ‘A’ level Biology or equivalent experience/qualification in a related discipline as well as an understanding and commitment to Health and Safety guidelines. The post is based mainly in the teaching laboratories within the biological/biomedical area but some chemistry would be useful.
