Description :

Bring your strong making skills to play an important and active part in developing our Sculpture subject area, working with colleagues and students to realise a collective vision that will take the course forward in its next iteration. Central to this will be the ability to build a peer learning community for our students which is both supportive and stable and at the same time challenging, vibrant and dynamic. This will involve emphasis on personal support and being the main and visible point of contact for a year group.  The role will also include formative and summative assessment responsibilities, engagement in aspects of course promotion and admissions and will involve liaising with academic staff in the Sculpture team as well as technical and support staff.

An understanding of materials and installation is essential, as is an interest in an expanded notion of Sculpture and the relationship between practice, research and theory.   Other key skills required are the ability to lead and facilitate regular group seminars and workshops and lead tutorials and proven organisational skills to enable you to oversee the level 4 (year 1) modules including supporting students to produce an off-site group show in the local area.

Please note, this post is fixed term until the end of June2018.
