Description :
Category: Academic | Hub: School of Teacher Development | Department: School of Teacher Development | Closing Date: 11 Mar 2018 |   We have an exciting opportunity for a research-informed teacher educator to join our team.  The role involves working across our primary programmes; primary undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as contributing to research/scholarly activity and the further development of our highly regarded ITE Partnership. ITE provision was judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ in our latest inspection (published January 2016), which highlighted a “vision of excellence” and “training of the highest quality”. We are keen to recruit an innovative, dynamic, positive and committed individual to join us in this important work for the benefit of our Partnership, and for education in its widest sense. Within the Partnership, you will work closely with school and setting partners including School Direct, cluster-based and university-based provision and you will build relationships with partners that lead to shared engagement in ITE, CPD and research. It would be beneficial to have some expertise in any of the following areas: Science, Mathematics, Physical Education/Development, PSHE (including mental and emotional health and wellbeing), Expressive Arts/Art, DT. Building upon an outstanding institutional heritage in teacher training, the School of Teacher Development is currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth, and we have recently secured a multiple year allocation for our highly regarded ITE provision. We also achieved a 4* rating in Education in the 2014 REF, a TEF Gold rating in 2017, and we consistently secure sector leading employability and student satisfaction scores. Our academics are engaging in educational research and consultancy around the world, and we offer a friendly and supportive learning community on our attractive campus in historic Lincoln.
