The Faculty of Engineering and the Environment invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join its Faculty Operating Service, as a Faculty Administrative Officer at the Highfield Campus. 

As a Faculty Administrative Officer your role will be to provide operational assistance and administrative support to the Aeronautics, Astronautics and Computational Engineering Unit in the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment. You will provide effective professional support to senior academic members of staff, performing a range of responsibilities including diary management, travel arrangements, minute taking, financial administration, website updating and organising events.

You will be able to build good relationships and partnerships with internal and external organisations and groups and be able to liaise confidently with all stakeholders. Your career so far will include some administrative work experience which allows you to use your own initiative, as well as manage your own time effectively with minimum supervision. Excellent organisational, communication and people skills are essential. You will be a creative problem solver who is comfortable taking the initiative and finding innovative solutions.  You will have good IT skills and be competent using IT packages (e.g. Microsoft Office).
