You will be part of our IT Technical Architecture team who are responsible for shaping the future of IT at BCU.  Reporting to the Chief Technical Architect you will be responsible for ensuring that the architecture of our IT systems implements and enables our IT Strategy and Principles. As a member of the Architectural Governance Board, you will be responsible for assessing solution designs and proposing new, fit-for-purpose solutions that meet the business requirements and are aligned to our University’s strategy. You will have demonstrable technical expertise as well as experience and knowledge of designing technical architectures and solutions. Whilst you are likely to have in-depth understanding of server and network infrastructure you will also have broad technical knowledge and experience including Cloud, applications and data. You will also have knowledge and experience of appropriate architectural frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF. You will have ownership of all technical aspects of the projects that you are assigned to. You will also contribute to developing policies, developing IT strategy, resolving major technical design issues, making procurement decisions and selecting system architecture components.
