SOURCING AND SUPPLIER CONTRACT MANAGER X 2 ROLES

The Procurement Service plays an important role in supporting colleagues in procuring a diverse range of goods, services and works, which are critical to the successful operation of the University.  As a sourcing and supplier contract manager you will play a vital role in ensuring contracts procured by the wider team are implemented successfully and managed robustly to deliver maximum value for money and benefit to the university, achieved through working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders across the organisation. As a souring and supplier contract manager, you will also be responsible for the management of a small-centralised team of buyers undertaking sourcing activity for requirements across the University.

The Higher Education sector is changing and so is the procurement service, we are looking to expand in order to ensure our procurement and contractual arrangements reflect the University strategy by embedding a category managed approach aligned with strong commercial contract and supplier management, delivering value for money through high quality arrangements. As a member of the team, you will need a high level of commercial acumen, experience of excellent contract management, a good knowledge of procurement process and the ability to build strong, productive relationships with a diverse stakeholder group – including academic and research staff, heads of the University’s professional services functions and key external suppliers and partners.    

You should have previous experience of managing a variety of contractual arrangements across a number of spend categories, successful implementation of corporate contracts in a complex and diverse organisation ensuring compliance with internal & external regulations, proven track record of delivering savings & associated benefits.
