IT Procurement and Contracts Officer (IT058)

The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals.  The IT Department at the University of West London is a dynamic and forward-looking department and is currently undergoing a series of transitional projects to improve staffing and student IT facilities across all sites.

We are looking for a committed, focused and experienced IT Procurement & Contracts Officer to provide a professional, effective and knowledgeable service for the procurement and supply of IT services, hardware, software and consumables for the University’s staff and students. The post reports to the Head of IT Services but will work closely with University’s strategic procurement team in Finance

The role has broad scope and requires strategic thinking, contract management and tactical operational management. The post-holder is expected to ensure appropriate compliance with audit requirements and best industry practice, keeping pace with relevant technology developments and trends. The post-holder also needs to sensitive to user demand and be able to enable the academic and business activities of the School in an environment of controlled risk.

Although the IT Procurement and Contacts Officer is situated in IT Services, the post holder will be the University’s central point for any contractual and procurement related matters and will serve a critical role, spanning a number of service areas and engaging with Procurement, Finance and other key stakeholders in matters relating to IT procurement and contracts.
