Our graphic design and illustration courses are innovative and popular, with a reputation for producing ambitious and bold practitioners who communicate, inform, entertain and challenge the status quo. Graphic design and illustration students are using an wider range of technologies and tools than ever before. To enable them to develop their practice, a range of studio based workshops are organised over the academic year.  

In order to support these workshops, we are looking for a versatile individual to join our creative technical team. The primary role will be to support the academic and technical teams, deliver practice based workshops and other events within the studios. Maintain a high level of health and safety supervision.  You also will be needed to assist and supervise, students and staff preparing for our many exhibitions, so some heavy lifting may be required. At other times you will be required to support the programme's technical demonstrators and workshop manager.

The role would suit a candidate with good organisational and time management skills, with a competent knowledge and understanding of current H&S procedures. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to problem solve and apply initiative and be capable of working unsupervised. You will need to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach when working with students and staff. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.
