Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts at Lancaster University is seeking to enhance its already strong national and international profile of excellence by appointing a new Lecturer in Theatre:  Applied Theatre / Socially Engaged Theatre.

The post is open to candidates with research and teaching interests in Applied Theatre/Socially Engaged Theatre. You will be expected to play a leading role in developing and delivering new undergraduate modules in Applied Theatre/Socially Engaged Theatre, and to contribute to existing undergraduate modules in Theatre; to independently pursue 3* or higher level research; and to develop collaborative research networks both within, and beyond the University. We are interested in applications from candidates working in any aspect Applied Theatre/Socially Engaged Theatre.

You should be able to demonstrate a strong research profile in Applied Theatre/Socially Engaged Theatre that complements our existing strengths in theatre practice and theory. You will be a member of the research centre InsightLancaster, and you will be expected to pursue a research agenda and produce outputs at a level appropriate for submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 and beyond. You will be expected to contribute to InsightLancaster's reputation and development with relevant research grants.
