Description :

This is an opportunity to join a group of psychologists with an established reputation in applied, social, cultural and critical psychology. You will have a solid knowledge of general psychology, as a basis for teaching on a variety of core BPS psychology curriculum areas, including research methods, across our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes.

A PhD in psychology (or near completion) is essential along with an understanding of the interface between psychology and other social science disciplines as well as up-to-date, sound knowledge of the subject and its application. You must be eligible for membership of the British Psychological Society. We especially welcome research specialisms in counselling, education, health, and inequalities. We would be particularly interested in critical approaches to any of these areas, though this is not essential.

This post is temporary for approximately 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.

The start date for the post is 3rd September 2018.

Job sharers are welcome.

In return, the University offers a wide range of benefits, such as a generous annual leave package, including time off over the Christmas period and travel loan schemes.

Informal enquiries can made to Pam Howard at: p.howard@brighton.ac.uk
