Applications are invited to the above role based in the School of Life Science. 

Working directly with researchers and teaching staff, you will provide technical support including finding fault, repair (to component level) and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment, such as: purified water systems, centrifuges & incubators along with equipment design.

You will have excellent fault finding, customer service, problem solving, communication skills as well as a proven ability to work accurately in order to maintain high standards, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. Substantial proven experience working in an Electrical Engineering background is essential. It would be advantageous, if you also have existing knowledge of instrumentation techniques and sensors required to monitor and control a range of laboratory apparatus.

You must hold a City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering, or an approved Engineering apprenticeship or substantial work experience in relevant role.
