The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of connected creative, business and service professionals. The Education Field is an exciting new development within the School of Human and Social Sciences.

We are currently seeking to appoint an exceptional Lecturer in Chemistry applied to Forensic Science to join our committed academic team in providing a high quality student experience on all our courses. We are keen to speak with candidates who have the drive and commitment to enhance the academic profile of the school in terms of teaching and research excellence.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching at all levels and to provide support to students in both theoretical and practical areas of Forensic Science. The candidate will contribute to the research output of the school, both in individual and team research projects. The candidate will also contribute to and generate initiatives to bring third stream income into the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified candidates with a PhD in Chemistry or a related field.  Relevant, proven teaching and Course Leader experience is an advantage. Candidates must have knowledge of current developments in Forensic Science and an up to date research portfolio. Experience of generating third stream income and developing external funding would be an advantage.
