The University has a long history of making societal, cultural and economic impact through applied research designed and undertaken in collaboration with users and stakeholders.  This approach contributed to a ranking of 27th in the Times Higher Education ranking of institutions on impact (REF2014).

Working as part of a central team in the department of Research, Enterprise and Social Partnerships, this post holder will lead the development of impact case studies for the next submission to the Research Excellence Framework, assessing and promoting the impact of the University’s research portfolio.  Working closely with individual researchers and research managers to maximise impact, the post holder will develop capacity to deliver impact through specialist training and guidance. 

You will lead and develop the University’s policies, practices, infrastructure and operational systems for managing, recording and reporting research outcomes to inform institutional strategy, investment decisions, priority-setting and corporate communications.  

Interviews are scheduled for 29th June 2018 and the post will commence from mid-September to allow a handover period.

Please note that this is a fixed-term, maternity cover role for approximately one year. Job sharers welcome.
