We are currently looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to join the College of Nursing, Midwifery, and Healthcare within the registry team on an 11 month fixed term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the core professional administrative team within the College of Nursing, Midwifery, and Healthcare. The Administrative Assistant will be part of the Pre-Registration Team within the college who are responsible for the administration of professional courses training students to be qualified Nurses and Midwives, across Berkshire and West London.

The post holder will provide high quality administrative services for the college and deliver a range of core activities, including servicing the student counter, selection days, enrolment and graduation, preparing for assessment boards and inputting marks.

Administrative Assistants are required to support academic staff, administrative officers and Senior Administrative Officers to deliver first rate customer service, ensuring each student at the University of West London receives an excellent student experience.   The role of Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the student lifecycle, from selection, enrolment through to graduation, working closely with senior administrators in the team. The successful candidate will manage a varied and demanding work-load and build strong working relations with other team members and our Academic colleagues.

The nature of the role will require individuals to be proactive, highly motivated, work methodically, and to use their own initiative in order to support the course teams effectively.

The successful candidate will need to have the ability to manage a conflicting workload, work to tight deadlines, strong customer service and communication skills and have excellent IT skills.

The post holder will be required to attend our Reading site for enrolment weeks and selection days from time to time.
