Description :

Staffordshire University is in the midst of exciting times. In a landscape of seismic change in Higher Education, we have launched a new Strategic Plan and are reshaping the way we work, to ensure that we are fit for the future and able to seize emerging opportunities and deal with challenges. This has engendered an optimism and energy amongst our staff and students, who are playing a central role in shaping our future.

We recognise that we have to improve our performance against relevant benchmarks and in external league tables, but we are pleased that we are beginning to see a step change. In 2017, our NSS outcome in overall student satisfaction was 85%, one per cent above the sector average. Recently the University was rated number 1 in the UK for graduate employability (excluding specialist colleges) for students in employment or further study, as measured by the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey. In 2017, we saw a rise of 14 places to 69th in the Guardian league table, in June, we were pleased to receive silver status in the TEF, and in September, we saw a rise of 29 places to 63rd in the Good University Guide league table. Most recently, the University has secured the biggest climb of any UK university in the Complete University Guide 2019 rankings.

We pride ourselves on our work with partners at every level. We are a university that is both of and for our city and region, maximising the impact of our presence in Stoke and Staffordshire. With our focus on applied learning and research, we work with partners in industry and business across all of our activities.

We are looking for an ambitious individual and a team player to lead and manage the Unitemps franchise and university’s (12-month) placements programmes across the six schools. The successful candidate will proactively develop (new) business relationships relating to Unitemps, Placements and Practice Learning and deliver on ambitious income targets from the existing and new clients/ partners. You will have a track record of operating in Higher Education or an educational setting, with a proven record of generating new opportunities backed by a substantial knowledge on employment law and regulations.
