We are committed to pursuing research that is multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and user-relevant. This distinctive research is central to the activities of the School and informs and enlivens all areas of our activity, including our learning and teaching.

In order to build on our significant achievements to date, the school is recruiting to strengthen its research-active staffing base. The subject group has two research groups focused on Comparative andinternational HRM and Organisation, Ethics and Society. It is home to funded research on age management/older workers and health and social policy. The Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management will join a business school based at Hull delivering established undergraduate degrees (in Accounting, Business, Business and Management, Economics, Management, Marketing, Sport and Leisure Management, and Tourism Management), MSc programmes, and an MBA which is delivered in the UK and at overseas Centres. The School also offers professional development courses with local and national companies, and has a very strong PhD programme. The post holder will join the Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management Subject Group, which offers a CIPD-accredited specialised MSc in Human Resource Management, on a full-time and part-time basis. The post is based in Hull.

The postholder will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The postholder will have the opportunity to contribute to the wide range of activities found in a full-service Business School in line with their experience, level of appointment and career aspirations. 

The post holder will be expected to:

·Teach in an area relevant to OB & HRM with specialisms in any two of the following areas: Employment relations; Leadership; Quantitative methods; HRM; Blended teaching

·Teach in areas relevant to research methods 

·Contribute to the OB & HRM Subject Group

·Produce high quality research outputs

·Compete for research funding

·Engage in curriculum development and design

·Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
