Description :

Project Manager – Student and Academic Administration

The University of Southampton is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Student and Academic Administration team. The aim of the project is to provide student and academic administrative services which are fit for purpose, support the efficient working of academic and professional services staff and provide an excellent student experience. This includes both introducing new systems and services and modernising and streamlining the use of the University’s main student management system, Banner, and harmonising processes.

The Project Manager will report directly to the Assistant Director Student Information Systems and Records and will work closely with colleagues from iSolutions, the University’s IT Service, and other teams within Student and Academic Administration and other Professional Services. Collaborative working with colleagues, both academic and professional services, across the University is also going to be essential to the successful delivery of the project.

Proven experience of successfully delivering systems projects in a complex environment using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques is essential for this role, as is a professional project management qualification. Previous experience of the Higher Education sector is not essential, but you must be able to demonstrate the ability effectively deliver change within a complex organisation. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across an organisation and possess excellent people management skills.
