Teaching Fellow, IAPT Lead 

CBT Programmes, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences

The Department of Psychology at the University of Southampton is seeking to appoint a clinical academic with expertise in CBT for anxiety and depression, to lead our PG Diploma in CBT (IAPT).

You will be a BABCP accredited CBT Therapist with a working knowledge of IAPT services, and experience in delivering CBT to people with anxiety and depression.  

You will join our respected CBT team, which is committed to excellent training and ensuring our students are competent and confident to deliver CBT in high-pressure IAPT services.  The role involves leading the PG Diploma in CBT (IAPT), liaising with key NHS and university stakeholders, and teaching, supervising and assessing our students.

You will have a proven track record in teaching and supervision with a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Experience in organisational aspects of NHS service provision, and an interest in developing research links with local IAPT services, would be advantageous. Applicants with an interest in developing their own research programme are particularly welcome, and would be supported by colleagues working on our CBT Programmes, our Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the wider Department.

The full-time (1.0FTE) post is available from September 2018. The salary is negotiable, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
