A Research Fellow is sought to work with an industrial partner. This will involve simulation development, investigation and analysis, with the results written up as project deliverables and publications.

Qualifications: PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in wireless communications or electronic engineering is essential, however a PhD in wireless communications or networking would be ideal.

Skills and experience: the successful candidate will have detailed knowledge and understanding of wireless communications and networking.

Technical: Logical thinker with desire to work in research environment. Able to organise own research activities and quality standards effectively. A self-starter, able to plan and justify focus on extensive research that will lead to long-term commercial benefit.

Communication: Able to work effectively in a team and organise time, tasks and responsibilities with other team members. Ability to clearly document and communicate results at a company level and to prospective customers.

Teamwork: Confidence and ability to embed in a technical team, engage with customers, and to transfer ideas and information between the knowledge base and company. A high level of maturity and effective project management will be preferable.

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
