We are seeking an exceptional person to fill the role of Technical Test Analyst. This is an exciting and challenging position to further develop the Test Team skills that we can offer to the University of Southampton.

This exciting post will work closely with other University departments and will help drive the quality and speed of applications delivery and support for ICT Services for the University.

Established within the University’s ICT division, iSolutions Department, this opportunity will add significantly to the delivery of testing services, enhancing the staff and student experience.

iSolutions is one of the largest departments (circa 300 staff) within the University’s Professional Services Group  and provides all aspects of ICT to support all University activities including Learning and Teaching, Research and University Administration whilst supporting a diverse user community of over 35,000 University staff and students. Largely based at 1 Guildhall Square, in the centre of Southampton in modern office environment which benefits from excellent links via rail and road.  Travel between all University campuses will be required on a regular basis.

Experience as a Technical Test Analyst in a diverse environment with knowledge of test automation using tools such as Selenium and languages such as C# is essential.Ideally, you will have experience of all areas of functional and non-functional testing from a technical perspective which has been gained in a multi-disciplined environment with good exposure to end users.

You will join a growing Team that is leading the way in driving quality into the delivery of our IT applications.  This is an exciting time to join the University as we embark on a major ICT Transformation programme.  You will need to be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work collegiately at many levels within the University. You will;

Be a passionate, articulate and credible advocate of the opportunities and challenges for Quality and Test.Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbalHave exceptional organisational and people skillsHave a strong record of accomplishment in working on complex programmes.

Strong stakeholder management is key. Relevant experience of working in Higher Education or a Public-Sector environment would be an advantage.
