Applications are invited for a full time Programme Manager to manage a programme of research led by Professor Christian Ottensmeier, with a focus on the molecular analysis of cancer and the human immune system and the delivery of immunotherapy clinical trials. 

The post will be based in the Somers Cancer Research Building, situated within the Southampton General Hospital site; the role falls within the remit of the Cancer Sciences Unit in the Faculty of Medicine, which provides a stimulating working environment for more than 100 scientists, clinicians and associated staff, investigating cancer and its treatment.

The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of work streams within an international, multi-centre collaborative, managing programme resources and finances. You will have prior experience of project delivery and experience of working within a GCP environment. You will use specialist scientific knowledge of clinical trials and immunological assay development to advise and facilitate the delivery of laboratory work. You will be highly motivated, with the ability to work flexibly as part of a team as well as independently and possess a good understanding of the current health and safety regulations.

The appointment is full time, fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance and is tenable as soon as possible.
