Established within the University’s ICT division, iSolutions, and reporting to the Manager of ICT Transformation Programme Office you will work with the ICT Transformation Team and University Stakeholders to identify, investigate and analyse requirements to transform technological change, profoundly enhancing the staff and student experience and fundamentally enabling the University’s ambitious strategy. 

The University is embarking on a number of ICT transformation programmes which will result in multiple programmes and projects over a four year period.  This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Business Analyst to be part of the ICT transformation programme initially in the first two years of the programme.  This role will be responsible to provide business analysis for process, data and systems implementations supporting key elements of the ICT Programme.

We are looking for a self-starter business analyst to work in dynamic, collaborative teams, engaging closely with stakeholders and end users from across the University. Proven experience in business and systems analysis, planning, project and/or programme management would be beneficial.

You will need to be a highly self-motivated with the ability to work collegiately at many levels within the University. You will enjoy working on; to include but not limited to;

Business casesFeasibility studiesEvaluating and analysing dataAbility to envision and think creatively Have a flare for digital technology and process re-engineering Reviewing potential problems and working on solutions Communicate benefits of any recommendations to the wider University

Your BA mind-set will enable you to manage and maintain strong relationships across iSolutions Teams and the University Community. You be will be part of ICT transformation initiatives, which influence the future of technology, which make a substantial difference to the University successes.

iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services Group (circa 300 staff) and provides all aspects of ICT to support all University activities including Learning and Teaching, Research and University Administration whilst supporting a diverse user community of over 35,000 University staff and students. Largely based at 1 Guildhall Square, in the centre of Southampton in modern office accommodation which benefits from excellent links via rail and road.  Travel between all campuses will be required on a regular basis.
