Post-Doctoral Researcher in Software Engineering (EHR0066-0618)

About You

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher in Software Engineering at the Department of Computer Science, Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, UK.

You must have a PhD in the broad area of Computer Science or Software Engineering with a focus in software testing, error identification, programming languages and compilers. You should have strong programming skills and working knowledge of large software models, opens source and real world programs as well as data analysis and visualisation. A strong publication record in relevant conferences/journals is highly desirable. Some appetite to learn new things is also desirable. 

You will have excellent communication skills, be flexible and be able to identify opportunities, and imbue high levels of professional integrity with stakeholders.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work with a team of experienced researchers and external commercial and research partners on a range of projects including projects related to software quality assurance as well as evaluating real time data processing and visualisation platforms. As part of the role, she/he will be expected to engage with knowledge transfer activities involving external organisations and research users with the aim to gather and document impact generated by the research projects involved.
