The School of Computing and Engineering at the University of West London is a dynamic and forward looking School with high quality teaching, student experience and research informed teaching at the top of its priority list. The School enjoys state-of-the-art equipment and continues to invest heavily in its improvement. We offer a number of courses fully accredited by relevant professional bodies across the board.

The post holder will teach an appropriate mix of undergraduate and postgraduate computing courses within the School of Computing and Engineering at UWL commensurate with technical knowledge and prior experience.

In addition, they will contribute to research, enterprise development and commercial training in appropriate sub-discipline(s) within the computing field and contribute to community engagement activities of the School.

The candidate should have knowledge of current computing practice and ability to teach relevant computing subjects, including Computing and Information Systems, Data Communications, Algorithms and Data Structures, AI, Natural Language Processing and Functional Programming at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in higher education. Evidence of teaching experience and an established research track record, or equivalent industrial experience, with appropriate outputs in a discipline relevant to computing are also required. The appointee will contribute to research, enterprise development and commercial training in appropriate sub-discipline(s) within the computing field, as well as community engagement activities.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field with a demonstrable track record of research within the field and also hold significant teaching experience within the Higher Education sector.
