In order to assist in achieving these aims and objectives the University deploys its own security personnel and also a partner, external security provision.   You will be reporting to the BCU Deputy Security Manager in the first instance and ultimately, the BCU Assistant Director of Security Services.   You will form part of the team of five BCU Security Operations Managers and between you, you will aim to provide the University with security supervision cover 24 hours a day, 365 days a year across early, late and night shifts.   You will be directly responsible for BCU Security Services employed staff and oversee the management of the partner, external security provision.   You must be able to work on your own and also as a member of a team. You will need to have experience within security or other similar roles; and ideally experience at a security supervision level. Alternatively, you should be able to show appropriate qualifications or skills required for the supervisory management of a team.   Management and experience of a variety of critical and emergency incidents would be advantageous. You will need to possess a full DVLA driving licence.   A good understanding of Criminal Law and the Data Protection Act is essential and should demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of the latest Microsoft Office package. Data input skills and the ability to retrieve data will be advantageous.
